Make Your Home Look Great

What comes to your mind when we talk about a home makeover? Perhaps, a lot of you would think about organizing things at home, redecorating, repainting, and other things that make our home look great. But did you know that there is more to it than what you think it is? For most homeowners, they share their fair share of experiences at home. They know when they relax and when to clean up their mess – not to mention when kids are involved.

However, there are just times that no matter how homeowners managed to declutter, you still probably feel lacking. But instead of being disappointed, you can make this an opportunity to try new interior designs at home. This might be the perfect time for you to unleash your creativity when it comes to designing.

Make Your Home Look Great

And of course, fret not if you are a first timer who resides in Avida Residences Dasmarinas Sabina or any real estate property. We list down some tips from the stylists on how to make a home look great just for you.

1. Create the illusion of organization

The number one rule when it comes to making your home look great is being organized at all times. Necessities at home such as your lotion, soap, tooth floss, etc. are just some of the items you use too often to hide away. Home stylist Olga Naiman suggests that homeowners should decorate these things to make it look appealing. Perhaps, you out your prettiest bottles in the front and add a plant.

2. Try a no-fail pillow combination

This is one of the common mistakes most homeowners make – they tend to fall victim to the adorable throw pillow trap. That is why, some sofa look overwhelmed with cushions, instead of style. Just because you like that particular design, that does not mean it will also look good in your home. Star of HGTV’s Secret of a Stylist, Emily Henderson suggest that homeowners should go for a one 20-inch, and one 12-inch by 16-inch. With these three sizes, throw pillows on your sofa would look good together.

3. Find your one missing color

Have you ever experience that no matter how hard you try to think about what color should you choose, you can’t get a hold that one color? Unfortunately, some homeowners do not realize how a pop of the opposite – say a few coral accents in a room of blues and white – can enhance our favorite shades.

4. Balance out the big, comfy couch

Sometimes, overstuffed sofas have gone the way of sponge-painted walls, but they are not as easy to get rid of. Homeowners should take a look at the other items in their living room, and take a few big pieces to even it out. As what Naiman explains “A coffee table in the same scale and a few sleek, modern pieces – maybe a side table or a floor lamp – can freshen things up.”

5. Burn your colorful candles

There will always be advantages when you use candles at home. Different interior designs usually make a room more attractive, but when it comes to candles, many stylists would prefer to use the color white. “An array of vibrant-hued candles can look old-lady no matter what you do with them.” However, if you want to have a variety of candles, Naiman suggests using different heights and widths.

Making your home look beautiful is not that hard as you think it is. As a homeowner, it is up to you on how you can give a personal touch to every design you have at home. When you do, it brings a significant impact on your respective lifestyles.
